Getting Spanxed

I finally did it. I tried so hard to avoid it because giving in would remind me that I am getting old and flabby, but it needed to be done. Yes my friends, I bought my 1st pair of Spanx.

This weekend we went to my BFF's bachelorette party in Boston. I had such an amazing time! It was an 80s-themed prom so we all dressed up in these ridiculous outfits. I thought I looked pretty good until the pics got posted to Facebook. Let me tell you, there were rolls where I didn't know I could get rolls, namely in my stomach AKA the orbiting planet. So since I am doubling the 80s outfit as a Halloween costume, I invested in some Spanx to smooth these things out. I will not be caught dead in more rolly poly FB pics!!

If you've never worn Spanx before, consider yourself lucky. It's kind of like getting stuffed into a vice made out of fabric. Or maybe meat forced into some sausage casing. You get the idea. It holds you in beautifully though. I tried it on under some jeans and they were loose on me with no muffin top action going on. There is also no way in hell I will be able to eat or drink anything in these things or I might lose circulation, so I guess that is an added benefit ;)

So, this week in review:
~ I ditched the idea of working out in the morning. It just wasn't working for me and I enjoy my extra 2 hours of sleep. I also find that when I don't exercise 1st thing, I'm not as hungry as I am when I do workout in the AM. That could be a mental thing. And working out after work allows me to get out A LOT of frustration from the hole. Last night when I was doing hammer punches I imagined the Wookie under my fist and I almost dislocated my shoulder from punching so hard.
~ I have been on track with drinking 2-3,000ml of water during the day!
~ Zig-zagging my calories has really helped. Some days I'm hungrier than others so I can adjust calories accordingly which is great!
~ I'm not sure if I will keep posting my meals on here. Posting what I eat every day makes me feel overwhelmed, esp if I miss a day because I couldn't get on the computer. I still log everything in my journal, so maybe I can post at the end of the week or whenever I get a free minute. I dunno, it's a work in progress.

Weigh-in tomorrow!
