Small Steps

I just got over the worst cold EVER. Seriously, it was the sickness from hell. So last Tuesday, I felt so awesome when I woke up. As I'm driving home from school, my throat felt kinda scratchy but I was belting out songs while I was driving so I thought maybe I was singing too loud. Nope! That afternoon it hit me like a Mack truck and I felt like shit for the next 2 days. Thursday I was still kind stuffy but I didn't feel horrible, so DA and I went on a double date with 2 of my friends. Stayed out too late, drank a little too much, and the next day this thing came back full force to kick my ass! Woke up with a fever yesterday (I was pissed because we were supposed to go out on the boat with my dad and I was really looking forward to it). I think I finally kicked this thing though; I slept pretty much all day yesterday and took lots of Theraflu.

I woke up this morning feeling awesome. So awesome, in fact, that I pushed myself to do TWO (that's right, TWO) HIIT workouts: 40/20 and 30/30. My legs are so fried right now I can't even begin to describe it. But it's a good hurt. I kinda wanted to kick my own ass cuz I missed 3 workouts last week from being sick plus the Cathe RT is coming up in 18 days so it's down to the wire now!

Husband #5, aka Dr. Oz, has this weightloss challenge going on...well, actually, it started in January but I just saw the repeat of the show the other day. Apparently, you're supposed to stop eating 3 hrs before you go to bed. I decided I'm gonna try it cuz nighttime eating is SO derailing my efforts right now. Let's see how it goes!
