Well it has been quite a hiatus for me with the blog. Things were crazy busy over the summer; I was taking an accelerated chemistry class and 15 weeks worth of material crammed into 7 was NOT my idea of a fun summer vacation. I also started my internship at the hospital, so when I wasn't in class or writing lab reports or doing homework, I was interning. Add my promo job to all that and, well, there goes the summer!
And here comes the weight gain. This summer I gained...wait for it...TEN POUNDS!! Ten friggin pounds, can you believe it?! Actually, in my favored state called delusion, I sat back and said "How can this BE?" when in actuality, I can tell you EXACTLY how it materialized: wine, wine, and more wine. Plus going out to dinner 2-3 times a week didn't really help. Uggghh, I have a tough road ahead of me...
So this is the game plan: not to put myself down but I know there is NO way I can eat 100% clean 100% of the time. I'm limited with what I can bring to school since it's still hot outside and keeping a cooler in my car even with ice is out of the question; I just don't trust things to stay in there that should be refrigerated. However, I will try to eat as clean as I possibly can. Also, I'm nixing the desserts like my beloved Vitas and even sugar free ice cream, cuz I tend to go overboard with both of those. I started the 6.5 month rotation of STS last week and I'm adding 3 cardio sessions and an extra leg day during the week too. Oh, and let's not forget drinking as much water as possible and ::trying:: not to eat at least 3 hours before I go to bed. That is the plan of attack. Fingers crossed!!!!!
Today was an awesome workout day; I did Rhythmic Step in the morning before work, then after class I came home and did STS chest/shoulders/biceps and pilates-based abs. I burned over 1000 cals today, woohoo!! Hopefully that will do some kind of damage control. I still can't believe I gained that much :(
